Hillerød Sundkile

Hillerød Sundkile

Sundkile introduces a completely new agenda for urban development in which urban functions, social and active possibilities of contentment become the epicenter for the development of an attractive urban area.

The new Hospital Nordsjælland and plans for a new train station provide the foundation for further development of Hillerød South. This development is focused on health, well being, nature and sustainability to generate an active and attractive urban area that responds to contemporary challenges in infrastructure, climate and public health.

The development strategy of Hillerød South is based on the landscape qualities and the coming Hospital Zealand. Herein lies a unique opportunity to develop a unique town developed around health, nature, water, sustainability and green traffic.

Hillerød South will be a global precedent for the Healthy City– A city based upon a green infrastructure, sustainable buildings and green landscape rich with opportunities of physical activities and recreational use. The Healthy City is a neighbourhood where the citizens have abundant access to pedestrian networks, bicycle paths, and activity areas with periodic social meeting points. The Healthy City is about living in close proximity to nature with a healthy relationship between work and leisure, individuals and community.
